Service Animal Guidelines
Indiana Beach welcomes service animals as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Before You Enter the Park
Service animals are welcome in areas of Indiana Beach where guests are generally permitted. For the safety of our guests, team members, and animals, service animals must remain under the control of their handler at all times.
What Qualifies as a Service Animal?
Under ADA guidance, a service animal is a dog that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for a person with a disability. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.
Handler Responsibilities
- Service animals must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered unless those devices interfere with the animal's work or the handler's disability prevents their use.
- If a leash or tether cannot be used, the handler must maintain control through voice, signal, or other effective controls.
- Service animals must be housebroken.
- Handlers are responsible for the care, supervision, and behavior of their service animal.
Rides and Attractions
For safety reasons, service animals may not be permitted on certain rides or attractions. Please speak with a Guest Services team member for assistance with attraction-specific guidance during your visit.
