Indiana Beach Park Policies

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests, Indiana Beach asks that visitors follow the park policies outlined below. These guidelines help maintain a family-friendly environment while allowing everyone to enjoy the rides, attractions, and boardwalk safely.

Dress Code

Guests visiting Indiana Beach must follow the park dress code at all times.

  • Guests must be neat, clean, and wear conventional attire appropriate for a family environment.
  • Clothing displaying inappropriate language, graphics, or imagery is not permitted.
  • Shirts that cover the back and midriff, or swimsuit coverups, are required on all rides.
  • Shoes are required in all areas of the amusement park and boardwalk and must be worn on all rides.
  • Shirts or swimsuit coverups must be worn outside of the water park at all times.

Park Rules

For the safety and comfort of all guests, the following rules apply throughout Indiana Beach.

  • All bags and belongings may be subject to inspection upon entry.
  • Outside food, beverages, and coolers are not permitted inside the park. Picnicking and grilling are not allowed in the park or parking areas.
  • Indiana Beach is a tobacco-free facility. Smoking, chewing tobacco, and e-cigarettes are not permitted along the boardwalk or midway areas and are only allowed in designated areas outside the park.
  • Line jumping, place holding, or leaving and returning to the same place in line is prohibited and may result in removal from the park without refund.
  • Alcoholic beverages may not be brought into the park. Alcohol purchased inside the park may not be taken outside the park gates.
  • Running, unruly behavior, or profanity may result in removal from the park without refund.
  • Pets are not permitted in the amusement park, water park, hotels, or cottage units. Service animals as defined by the ADA are permitted.
  • Shoes are required for park entry. Bare feet are only allowed within the water park area.
  • Weapons of any type, including sharp objects and pocketknives, are strictly prohibited.

Water Park Rules

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience in the water park, guests must follow these guidelines.

  • Appropriate swimwear is required. Cutoffs and thong-style swimsuits are not permitted.
  • Shoes are not allowed on water attractions.
  • Children under 48 inches (without footwear) do not meet the height requirement for water park slides.
  • Strollers are not permitted in the water slide area but are allowed in the Sandy Beach area.
  • Children under 48 inches must wear a life jacket provided by Indiana Beach or a Coast Guard-approved personal flotation device.
  • Only Indiana Beach provided floats may be used on water slides or the Action River attraction.
  • Smoking, e-cigarettes, or any tobacco use is not allowed in the water park.
  • Coolers and glass bottles are not permitted in the water park.
  • Infants and children who are not potty trained must wear swim diapers at all times.
  • Changing clothes is not permitted on the beach or in restrooms. Changing rooms are available in the Bath House located upstairs across the boardwalk.
  • Line jumping or place holding in water attraction lines is prohibited and may result in removal from the park without refund.

Safety Guidelines

Indiana Beach is committed to providing a safe experience for all guests.

  • Certain rides and attractions have restrictions based on height, size, and physical or medical conditions. Safety information is posted at each ride entrance.
  • Most rides do not permit loose articles. Guests should leave loose items with a non-rider or place them in a locker. Purses and fanny packs are considered loose items.
  • Ride restrictions are subject to change without notice.
  • Indiana Beach is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • All children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult age 18 or older at all times.

Rider Responsibility

Participation in amusement rides and attractions involves inherent risks.

Guests are responsible for exercising good judgment and acting in a safe and responsible manner while participating in any ride or attraction. All guests must follow posted instructions, comply with verbal directions from park staff, and properly use all ride safety equipment provided.

Guests must also comply with all local, state, and federal laws, as well as all Indiana Beach park rules and policies during their visit.
